Dog Patrols, or K9 Security
Dog patrols (also known as K9 security) consists of a highly-trained security officer and a highly-trained dog. Working together, they are one of the most efficient crime prevention measures in the book.
Ideal for large open spaces and vacant properties, dog patrols provide a powerful deterrent, rapid threat detection and ultra-fast pursuit capabilities.
Dog Units
Dog units are the perfect option for secluded or hazardous areas, construction sites and vacant premises where the mere presence of a dog unit can be enough to stop criminals in their tracks.
- Security dogs are a powerful deterrent to thieves, squatters, fly tippers and vandals
- Before criminals have broken in, dogs can hear them, locate them and bark a warning
- Dogs can leap effortlessly over walls and obstacles to safely intercept intruders
- They are trained to safely apprehend criminals before their handler arrives
- Security dogs can wear body cams to live-stream incidents in real time
K9 Security — The cost-effective choice
K9 security is widely considered to be amongst the most cost-effective security measures.
The cost of one dog unit is lower than the cost of two security officers. Plus, a security dog can cover a wide area, so you need fewer people to protect your site.
Most importantly, K9 security prevents crime from happening in the first place. A highly-trained dog and a professional handler presents too high a risk for opportunistic thieves and trespassers.
K9 security is a flexible service, easily adaptable to your specific requirements. For example:
- Patrols are available for one-off events, or as a long-term security asset
- K9 security can be deployed as part of our mobile security patrol team
- Our dog patrol personnel can work in conjunction with your existing security team

Dog Units — Trained to defend and protect
Each of our dog handlers and security dogs works together as an established team. Our security officers are licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), while both dog and human have undergone training together at the National Association of Specialist Dog Users (NASDU).
The training is rigorous and ongoing, recognised by the SIA and the Home Office as well as animal welfare groups.
Our security dogs are highly disciplined, efficient and focused. They will only run to intercept when given a direct command to do so by their handler. When apprehending intruders and potential criminals, they’re trained to do this safely.
